How the stars of Tolloywod stars turned in 2006

Most of the Tolloywood heroes are celebrating the New Year on a happy note as they managed to taste the success in 2006. Surprisingly the Hits and Flops are evenly distributed among all the stars. To add to this no Star except Jagapathi Babu has registered a couple of hits.

Megastar Chiranjeevi with Stalin, Victory Venkatesh with Lakshmi recorded hits without any flops are sitting easy at the top. Comedian turned Hero Sunil as Andala Ramudu and Lawrence with his Style registered their wins on the silver screen. Both of them have started their innings on Tolloywood with a victory.

Most of the big stars have an even year with one hit and one flop. Mahesh Babu has a block buster Pokiri and a flop Sinikudu. Nagarjuna started positively with Sri Ramadasu and ended the year with flop movie Boss to break his double hatrick after 6 consecutive hits. Energetic hero Siddartha’s Chukkallo Chandrudu as lover boy couldn’t get success, but he came with mega hit Bommarillu in the second half of the year. Thanks to Bhaskar for his clean entertainer. NTR and Pawan started badly with Ashok and Bangaram but the Rakhi and Annavaram emerged as late winner of 2006. NTR gave an exceptional performance in Rakhi and joined the race for best actor along with Nagarjuna. Mass hero Gopichand had a big hit with Ranam but failed to change his image with sentiment based Raraju. Sumanth had a decent flick with Sekhar Kammula’s Godavari but failed as Chinnodu. Sivaji failed to attract the mass with Sitaramudu but went back to basics to register a comedy winner Tata Birla Madyalo Lila.

Allu Arjun had an average flick year with Happy. One the other hand Jagapathi Babu lone hero with couple of hits Samanudu and Pellina Kothalo had ended his disastrous failure streak (of 12 films) mid of this year after suffering from 3 flops Sivakasi, Brahmastram and Gopi.

Few of the other heroes have failed more times than success. Raviteja has more to flip side with Shock and Khatarnak than success with Vikramarkudu. New entry Bharat with a hit 10th class and couple of flops Manodu and Maa Iddari Madhya, veteran Rajendra Prasad had taste of success with Bhagya Lakshmi Bumper Draw and flops with Sarada Saradaga and disastrous Iddaru Attala Muddula Alludu and finally Allari Naresh with decent Kitakitalu and flops with Party, Gopi and Roommates falls in the same category.

The stars who failed to taste the success this year are Bala Krishna with Veerabhadra rebel star Prabhas with Pornami, Kalyan Ram with Asadhyudu, Raja Sekhar with Raja Babu. Disappointing year for stars those tasted the failure more than once. Raja with Kokila and Mayabazarm, Arjun with Sivakasi and Ayya, Sharwanand with Veedhi and Amma Chappindi, Venu with Sri Krishna 2006 and illalu Priyuralu are in this list. Last and of course the least came from Srikanth who had whopping 5 releases Sarada Saradaga, Evandoi Sreevaru, Mayajalam, Sri Krishna 2006 and Adi Lakshmi and all of them toppled at Box Office.

If you want me to put in an order the list goes like Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Siddartha, NTR, Pawan Kalyan, Gopichand, Sumanth, Sivaji, Allu Arjun, Jagapathi Babu, Raviteja, Rajendra Prasad, Bharat, Naresh, Bala Krishna, Prabhas, Kalyan Ram, Raja, Arjun, Venu and Srikanth.

Event the disastrous Tamil movies were dubbed into Telugu and had to bite the dust. While Krrish and Dhoom did managed to get the acceptance from Telugu audience.
